I’m Sandra Galvez, a bilingual photojournalist with more than 5 years experience across sports marketing, local news, and freelance photography.

Originally from Peru, I earned a degree in Communications at San Martin de Porres University in Lima before moving to the United States in 2007 and starting my freelance business, Huaco Films.

As a freelancer, I have worked on a number of different projects including TV movies, corporate events, commercial real estate, and concerts. As a News Photographer I have covered local & breaking news and became well versed in equipment and software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, Lightroom, and Photoshop.

I have a knack for capturing the human element in photos and stories and a strong track record of capturing powerful, newsworthy images. 

When I am not working, you can find me on the field photographing Nashville Soccer Club games, cooking my favorite Peruvian food, or spoiling my 3 dogs - Huaco, Kevin and Flacca!
